The Natural Park of Sant Llorenç and Serra de L’Obac is a space of pure nature of 14,000 hectares surrounding the Masia, from where you can start your routes.

The highest peaks are La Mola (1.104m), where there’s a restaurant and the Romanesque monastery of Sant Llorenç, which gives its name to the mountain, and the Turo de Montcau (1.057m). From the Information Office of the Natural Park of Coll d’Estenalles (located at the km 14,800 of the road from Terrassa to Mura), you can access these two peaks by well marked trails. The cultivation of the vine was, during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, one of the mainstays of the Bages’ economy. As a witness to this past perpetuates a set of barracks and wineries that are integrated into the current landscape.

The winery was an essential tool in the wine exploitation. In the process of winemaking is used as a container so that the must fermentation occurs. The particular conditions of the terrain posed a solution with regard to the transport of the grape. This is the main reason that explains the unique resource to lift the press in the middle of the vineyards. It is a unusual, unique construction in Catalonia.

They are found in the towns of Mura, El Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort and Talamanca. The vines were planted in places accessible to all cars and, in many cases, to the animals, in the foothills of the mountains on dry stone terraces. From the farmhouse, we recommend visiting “Les Tines Vall del Flequer”. Near kilometer 4 of the BV-1224 road from El Pont de Vilomara to Rocafort indicating the deviation to Les Tines. (It is a forest track and after 1.5 km there is a small parking area).



Situated 7 kilometers from the Masia you can find the monastery of Sant Benet de Bages. The monastery is one of the architectural jewels of Bages and one of the most remarkable examples of Romanesque art in Catalonia.

While the monastery dates from 966, the current church and cloister and part of the wall surrounding the monastery are work dating from the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The cloister , with its 64 capitals, is the most prominent feature . The decorative profusion shows biblical, mythological scenes and plant motifs .

Some of the pieces , taken advantage of the X century old buildings and incorporate what is considered one of the first attempts to capture the human figure in the Catalan art. From 2003 to 2007 it has taken place a magnificent restoration of the monastery.
